Doors that are hinged at the rear and open at the front, which were a holdover from horse-drawn carriages and were common on pre-World War II cars.

My parents' first car was a white classic Volkswagen Beetle. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any pictures of it.

If I remember correctly, Herbie was white.

I'm not really a religious person, but I looked it up to see:
