awww But maybe we can start an ordinary thread about old favourites? Judging by the number of posts in the entry thread there'd be quite a lot of interest. And as I love frogs in general and Kermit in particular I'd love to see a pic of that doll =)

I have a bunch of old frogs. Frogs were my favorite stuffed animal when I was a kid.

I haven't entered for awhile, but I'd usually allow a week or so for people to enter, and a similar amount of time for voting. It depends somewhat on what day of the week you start the contest, as it's considered polite to at least allow a weekend for people who can't get much time online during the week.

If you want to avoid duplicating what's been done before (or at least recently), there's a thread pinned at the top of the forum that lists the themes from as far back as we could find them. Locutus keeps it updated.

When you decide on a theme, you should also have in mind whether you'll allow science fiction/fantasy-based entries and movie/TV entries (those forums have their own avatar contests). It's up to you.

Oy, now I see why you asked what happened to him! When auntiehill posted him for me, she must've linked to my avatar, so when I changed the avatar, my entry changed, too. Damn. I have no idea how she did it, and there's nothing I can do about it now. Not interested in keeping Teddy as my avatar.
