Norway is part of the Afghanistan operation( as are many other Nordic countries) and also the one in Libya.
But ofcourse nothing gives anyone the right to do something like this

I would like to send my condolences to to the families of those who died, wish the injured a speedy recovery...and send my best wishes and prayers to everyone in Norway.
I am from Finland myself, so this hits close to home, too.
Those who did this will be surely found and will face the full force of the law.

They say that one person has been apparently arrested in this island, though there is lots of rumors going on.

25-30 people lifeless on the beach Atleast 10 confirmed dead.

I am horrified and shocked. To say the least.

There has been some reports that the man who did the shooting on the island was seen also in the blast site in the Oslo center, about two hours before the shooting itself started.
Could this all be work of just one "lone nutter"
But we must now wait and see how the investigation is proceeding, naturally.
(Its so easy to make up theories in a time like this..)

Well, not exactly Norway but its just around the corner. I was actually in Oslo last week.

Body count is up to seven confirmed dead.

Now i'm no expert but i'm guessing that had to be high grade explosives. Because there is no way in hell a redneck with some fertilizer can make a bomb small enough to get into a government building.

Now, my problem is this. accoding to earlier statements there were two charges. Now they claim there was only one. A car just outside the building. So basically a street level explosion. What bugs me is this:

Now that is clearly explosive damage, on the top level. And the use of gas is rather uncommon in Norway. And in a government building, extremely so. I don't even think its legal. So I'm guessing that was not a secondary explosion after a damaged gas line. How can an exploding car damage the top floor like this? Even if its a shaped charge and it exploded upwards. Thoughts?
