Lost SPOILERS Frozen Donkey Wheel!

So is there any rumour of Harold Perinneau coming back? Would seem to make sense if the Time Altering minxiness is true.

I think when season six opens we'll see an alternate timeline in which Oceanic 815 made it safely to Los Angeles on September 22, 2004 but people like Jack Shepherd, Kate Austin, Hugo Reyes and John Locke have spent the last several years feeling as though something is not quite....right. Maybe they have vivid dreams of the island, maybe Hurley has continued to be visited by the ghosts of people he never knew in this timeline such as Libby or Eko. Think something along the line's of TNG's Yesterday's Enterprise. Along the way we will encounter almost every castaway who has died over the course of the series. Charlie, Boone, Shannon, Eko, they're all on the table, we'll see them in this "It's a Wonderful Life (or Island, if you will)" type scenario.

It'll be up to the uniquely special Desmond Hume to repair the timeline.

Or something. I don't know. :p

It'll be up to the uniquely special Desmond Hume to repair the timeline.

I wonder if they will fix the timeline, or just get everyone back to the island another way (kidnapping, etc...).

I mean how could Desmond fix the timeline? In this new timeline Desmond never lived in the Swan station pushing the button, he never met the Losties (except Jack), he never turned the override key, etc... in fact the very thing that makes him "special" (turning the key) would never have happened, so he won't be "special" in this new timeline.

And how would he change it anyways? Going back in time somehow and stopping Juliete from hitting the nuke? Stopping Jack's plan of getting the nuke in the first place? Either of those options would make the whole last few episodes of season 5 pretty much worthless.

Of course with them changing the timeline so they didn't crash you could say that it make the whole first 5 season of the show worthless since none of it ever happened...

new spoilers/updates:

-Lost's Nestor Carbonell will finally be a series regular next season. "I'm moving my whole family to Hawaii next week," Nestor tells me. "This whole time I've been flying back and forth, but now I'll be living on the island with the others. They tell me I'll be in 16 of the 18 episodes." Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof say his backstory will take a significant time to reveal. Adds the actor: "Obviously Richard doesn't age, so I'm most curious to know how old he is and if he's in fact pulling the strings.

-We won't see much DHARMA in Season 6.

-Jacob has NOT appeared as another character on the show.

-[Ian] Somehalder told EW exclusively that Lost producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse only told him half an hour before the Vampire Diaries panel that he will be coming back next season. "It's not clear yet" when it'll happen but "it'll be very soon." Somerhalder said he wasn't necessarily surprised at the development, because he had been talking to the producers for some time about returning. "It's just a matter of timing and getting me down there," says Somerhalder.

Sweet! I'm glad they're finally focusing on Richard.

And Somerhalder is returning. Hopefully we'll hear that Monaghan is also returning soon...

From TV Guide: "It might be a busy season for Grunberg, who has also been approached about appearing on Lost. The actor, who played pilot Seth Norris of Oceanic flight 815 in the very first episode, got a call about coming back for the last season of the hit ABC show. Grunberg is totally game for anything the Lost producers can cook up for him, but he has no idea what they are planning. "That's literally where my call ended," he says. Norris didn't survive the island, but as more of Lost's characters who met the grim reaper are signing on to appear one last time, it would only be appropriate to bring back the man who flew them to the island in the first place. "If NBC will allow it," Grunberg says. "I will go back.""

This is the best news I have read in some time. I don't normally read alot of spoliers, but I just looked up Nestor Carbonell in reference to the Sawyer turning 40 thread, and read this in his profile on Wikipedia. So I came to this thread to see if it was posted here too.

This is SOOOOO frakkin' awesome. Richard Alpert has been a favorite of mine for a really long time....and as LOST draws to a close, I can see how they would really need alot of screentime for him, since he's been on the Island for, like, EVER and there is so much mystery surrounding him.

Now I feel justified in placing him among my top 3 favorite characters in LOST, despite the fact that he was only recurring. :techman:

I am TOTALLY jazzed about this. Richard rocks!

From the Hollywood Reporter:

"John Hawkes is joining the final season of "Lost" as a recurring.

The "Deadwood" alum will play Lennon, the scruffy, edgy and charismatic spokesperson and translator for the president of a foreign corporation who is far more powerful than it seems from his position.

Hawkes, who played budding entrepreneur and politician Sol Star on David Milch's Western "Deadwood," recently co-starred on another HBO series, the offbeat comedy "Eastbound & Down.""
