Linda Park on the Women's Murder Club *Spoilers... I guess*

So I watched the Women's Murder Club for the first time today (I TiVoed Friday's episode). Linda Park plays a character named Denise Kwon and she is the "Criminal Division Chief" for the District Attorney's Office. It was kinda confusing 'cause she seems too young to be the in that position. The actress is 29 years old. If the character was the same age then she would have graduated with a law degree around 25ish, then after practicing law for 4 years she gets promoted to a division chief??? When she was ordering around the blonde attorney (Jill Barnhart) all I could think of was how weird it was because she seemed too young to be her boss (at least in a position of that magnitude). Has anyone else watched this show and thought the same thing???

I wanted to watch it when I heard that Linda Park is part of the cast, but its up against Friday Night Lights...

...so, no, I haven't seen it.

Though, goin' by your post and a vague idea of how that sort of thing works in television, I'd say it will be revealed at some point that Park's character has some serious political connections and / or heavy hitter relative in the city's upper crust.

Yes Ro Laren! Watched the first epi. last week and no sign of Linda. I had no idea she was on the show until she appeared in the scene with the blonde. She is way too young to be in such a senior position. The other women don't like her (her last scene), so let's see how long she lasts.

6 years ago she was playing a tenured professor and no one seemed to mind?

Was she considered a tenured professor?? I thought she was just another random, albeit really smart, language teacher in Brazil. I never really thought that much about her life in Brazil...

I thought she was going to be playing Yuki Castellano, a character those familiar with the James Paterson novels know is a major player down the line.Anyway, Linda is playing the thankless role of the regular heavy to the rest of the cast. a bad tempered burocrat constantly putting down the ADA character.
