Kate Mulgrew in Mr Mercedes

Now that OITNB is over, can we talk about new Kate Mulgrew's role in Stephen King's adaptation of Mr Mercedes (producer by David Kelley? Well, let's be honest, this kind of show is not my cup of tea (OITNB wasn't either but with time, I was used to and even liked some storylines/characters) but there, I feel that it will be more problematic to enjoy. It is very special and Stephen King's styles... but well, I wanted to give a try because of Mulgrew.
First, it is incredible how versatile this actress can be. Second, we can love or hate her characters but one thing is sure, she always gives herself at 100% in them, not afraid to shalter her image and doing it with talent . But there, I was quite incomfortable to see her playing a sexual predator.

As much as I love Kate, I will probably give this a pass.

Glad to hear the producers were so happy with her performance.

She did one in Throw Momma from the Train but it was quite light and done in a humorous way: while the husband (Billy Crystal) is away, the lover makes Mulgrew's character a surprise visit and it ends on the couch of the living room, and all this under the eyes of a poor amateur killer (Danny de Vito) hired by the husband.
de Vito is just hilarous in this scene! , what makes the whole scene watchable and even enjoyable.

From what I've read of the characters I have a feeling this one isn't fun.
