Jean Marsh has passed away

She was also in Upstairs , Downstairs, a series I've been meaning to watch for years partially because she's in it.

Rest in peace, Jean. Thank you for the adventures in space and time.

I'd hoped that when the time came to release season three of the classic series on Blu-Ray she'd be around to participate, perhaps Behind the Sofa or an extended interview about her life and career by Matthew Sweet. RIP Ms Marsh.

Yeah in the original early 70s' show and also reprised her role in the 2010 continuation

Yes she co created Upstairs Downstairs and later The House Of Elliot.

People forget how big UD was in it's day. Winning the Emmy for best Drama Series three times and also once for best limited series

Marsh herself won best actress in 1975.

In the 80s she became known for evil queen type roles in Who, Willow and Return to Oz.

And of course she revisited her most famous who role, Sara Kingdom, for Big Finish in some great stories.

Sad to lose her, I think she's been ill for a while so yes unlikely to see anything new from her for the blu ray range.
