Get them now. :)

I already own EU2, EU3 + all expansions, Victoria + expansion, Hearts of Iron 1 and 2 plus expansions and EU:Rome, so my options are a bit more limited. I've been thinking of buying the EU:Rome expansion Vae Victis and Crusader Kings plus the relevant expansions. I'm just not sure I have the time to actually play them.

Of course this comes along just a month after I invested in EUIII Complete (had the vanilla version before, decided it was time to up the ante).

What's EU: Rome like? Worth the purchase? I could never really get into the HOI series, I prefer the mechanics of EU, so I'd prefer to stick with something in that series if I'm going to get anything new.

I can't really tell you. I bought the game and then got busy playing other games and real life things. So far, I've played the game for maybe an hour or two.
From the reactions I've seen the original EU:Rome game isn't all that good, but it gets decent with the expansion.
