Really looking forward to this! (Also, cool logo!)

(There was previously a thread here, but I'd like to separate this from Cars 3.)

While I'm confident Bird did indeed wait until he had a good idea to make a sequel, I, like most people expected to see a large time jump. But I suppose the advantage of animation is your characters don't age unless you want them too. There's always Incredibles 3 for a time jump if they want.

I'm very excited about this film (it's about damn time!) and I don't have a problem with the sequel leading directly after the original. Bird has noted repeatedly over the years that first film was about family that just happens to be set in the trappings of a superhero world. I think it's a wise choice to continue directly after the first film to continue to explore those themes, especially considering the sequel will focus more on Helen in the workforce while Bob stays at home with Jack-Jack.

I'm really excited. the Incredibles is my favorite Pixar movie, and that's a huge compliment. The trailer doesn't really excite me because I don't care about the baby, but overall I really want to see the movie.

I loved the teaser, Jack-Jack is awesome. I can't wait, in terms of anticipation this goes right up there with new Star Wars, Star Trek, or Marvel movies for me.

It's definitely about time. The Incredibles is the best Marvel movie ever made.

Now if we could just get a sequel to Megamind, we'd have another good DC movie. :rommie:

We now know some of the new characters and who's voicing them:

WINSTON DEAVOR (voice of Bob Odenkirk) leads a world-class telecommunications company alongside his genius sister, Evelyn. Ultra-wealthy, savvy and suave, Winston goes big in everything he does—including his infatuation with Supers. He has been a supporter of Supers returning—all he needs is a hero (or three) to help him change public perception and bring them back into the sunlight.

EVELYN DEAVOR (voice of Catherine Keener), the brilliant brainchild behind her brother Winston’s telecommunications company, knows her way around tech. She loves tinkering with tech, and has never met a problem she can’t solve.

VOYD (voice of Sophia Bush) is a young, overeager “wannabe” Super and a mega-fan of Elastigirl. Her superpower is the ability to divert and manipulate objects around her by creating voids that allow the objects to appear and disappear, and shift in space.

The Supers find an advocate in a dignified foreign AMBASSADOR (voice of Isabella Rossellini) who is committed to the support and legalization of Superheroes.

A great selection of actors, especially Odenkirk and Keener, both of whom I expect to be voicing the villains (but that's just speculation on my part). Jonathan Banks is also in the cast, taking over the role of Rick Dicker from Bud Luckey.

I thought I heard somewhere that they were going to pick up from the last scene of the first movie with John Ratzenberger's Underminer.
