If you were starting a band what names would you pick?

if you were forming a band for rock / pop music what kind of name would you come up with

Some of the ideas I have had over the years, and more then likely some of these have been taken by real bands, who knows?

I'd form a supergroup: Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Merrill, Lynch, PIerce, Sacco and Vanzetti.

This is, of course, if my other idea (Experimental Pop Band and Travel Agency - check out our Calypso version of "Taps") didn't work out.

Years ago, there was a thread here linking to some sort of name generator used for band names.

Then we did cover art, track names, etc.

As far as I'm concerned, all the coolest names are taken by metal bands and I'm not sure I could come up with anything good.

I would likely go with Kane, Lambert, Ash and Parker....which condenses easily into KLAP. But the shuttle still won't take four, so maybe Brett, Ash and Dallas could taunt or challenge Michael Jackson instead.
