I gifted my wife tickets to the Creation Entertainment convention for The Vampire Diaries franchise, and I was excited to inadvertently meet the new James T. Kirk in the process. We watched his panel with Iam Somerhalder (where sadly nobody asked about Trek and I wasn't able to get to the front of the line in time to ask anything) and had both a photo op and an autograph session with him. We congratulated him on his Saturn Award and voiced our appreciation for his work on SNW. He replied, "Wait 'til you see Season 3, you're gonna love it." Overall he was a really warm and welcoming guy (he called me "brother" twice ) and it's too bad he won't be at the SF Trek convention in a few weeks, but I highly recommend anyone going to the Vegas con to meet him if you can.

I purposefully wore the same shirt I had on when I met Mr. Shatner in 2016, so now I just need to track down Chris Pine and complete the set.

That's awesome. I have to say that after a rocky start in season 1 he has completely won me over and I want the next show to be be the TMP Enterprise set after V'ger.

AGREED 100%!!! I've been saying for years now, there is a whole 15 years of untapped story potential and unexplored lore with Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu and Chekov aboard the most beautiful starship in sci fi history! MAKE IT SO!

That's awesome! I'm glad you got the chance to meet him. I would love for him to come to a con near me. I've always wanted to meet him (not just for Star Trek, I loved him as Stefan on The Vampire Diaries). I have met Anson Mount and Ethan Peck at a con though, so I feel lucky for that.
