How would you like the Daleks to look after Asylam of the Daleks?

It's sorta odvious we're not gonna stick with the rainbow toilet design of Moffats Daleks after this seeing their reception has been really negative (Moffat's even tweaked with the design again by darkening thier colour and giving their eues an even more flesh like feel, I like the darker colours, but hate the flash eye), but then again this is Moffats who we're talking about. Anyway, how do you want the daleks to look?

I'd like the bronze daleks back but painted grey this time and the Moffate Daleks without the flesh eye and painted white and gold. It'd be the return of the Imperial and renegade Daleks, the Grey ones would be renegades fighting to be the supreme daleks, and the Imperial whites staying loyal to having no human genes and being the supreme daleks. I enjoyed the renegade/imperial daleks. A fun theme and brings more logic into the who storyline.

My other options would be:
*Just the bronze daleks painted grey. The supreme Dalek would be silver.
*The Moffat daleks with no flesh eye painted grey. The supreme Dalek would be white.
*The clasic Daleks crossed between Moffat and RTDs daleks. Also grey. The supreme Dalek would be eigther silver or a brick red.
*Basicly the old daleks but the size of Moffats. Once again grey with the supreme dalek eigther silver, white, or brick red.

These are the rainbow toilets!

I actually like this seasons solution. Bronze for the troops/citizens, and colors for the Dalek High Council. But I wouldn't be terribly upset if they got rid of the hump, reduced the size of the skirts, and went back to lightbulbs on the head instead of those huge jelly jars.

I don't mind the jelly-jar lights, but the humps are odd.

Frankly, I'd like the have the Daleks invisible---as I don't wish to see them; they have more impact when a rare event rather than an "Oh, Jesus, THEM again" event.

Let's face facts, people. The New Paradigm aren't going anywhere. BBC spent money building those new models, we'll see them for as long as Moffat is running the show. The only compromise we're going to get is seeing the RTDaleks working for the New Paradigm like what is going on in Asylum.

The one thing I like is they seem taller, which I prefer. Otherwise, I'm fine with the previous design, a brand new design, a hiatus for awhile, etc.

It's funny that the progenitor device built new outer casings (I know it was a real world thing and Moffat's vision).

It's more about what's inside the casing (ie: "pure" Dalek blobs instead of part Human or part Davros blobs) that should matter.

So, are all the Daleks appearing in AOTD going to somehow be "purebred" ones?

I have to reiterate, having seen the new Daleks 'live' as it were, they are a lot more intimidating than they look on screen. The notion of making them bigger, of making them more tank like, wasn't a bad one, it just didn't work very well in execution.

They've already altered the design though, they've changed the basic design a bit, darkened and glossyfied the colours, and gave them flesh eyes. I doubt those are made form the same models as the first Moffat Daleks. And the reason they're bringing the RTD daleks back is because no one likes the Moffat ones, that's why they only had a few cameos in series 6 )(the worst series of doctor who ever) and now they're alowly bringing back RTDs design and slowly getting rid of Moffats. Personaly, I'm not a fan of the jelly jar lights eigther. Everything is too big on these new daleks, and they're not detaild ennougth. The colour thing's a bad idea too. Not a fan of that. I say go grey or silver again, that was always the supirior dakej design, i did like the bronze design though.

Really, I'd be happy if they just brought back RTDs daleks. I'd be even more happier if this time they were silver, and even happier than that if they were painted grey and black like the Baker era daleks. Red works ok sometimes, I just prefer the supreme dalek to be that colour though. I'd also ditch Davros again, he was a good vilian and still is, but all the 80s dalek storys were more about him then the daleks, that's what I enjoyed about Ecclesten and Tennants dalek storys, it was more about the daleks than Davros (apart from that one episode which did have Davros in, but that was good though, a nice change). I'd always have a supreme dalek. I do like white supreme daleks, but white wouldn't work well with RTDs Daleks. Black or brick red would work perfectly!

worst series ever? That's a pretty bold claim considering we're talking 50 years.

Bold but true. The first two episodes were golden, but from then on, pure horse shit. Maybe a couple of good episodes, but I can't actully think of any. hated the pirate episode, but then again, I've never been keen on the episodes which fo back in time. Still even compared to other back in time episodes, that one was poor. the Ganger storyline, apart from the two Moffat Christmas specials, that two parter has got go be the worst episode(s) of doctor who ever. They were so boring, and there was no threat. Also alot of really low budget episodes. So yes, series 6 was the worst dr who season in history. The worst episode in dr who history was "A christmas Carol" closely followed by the lattest Christmas special which was followed by the Ganger two parter. And they're all Moffat 11th doctor episodes. I have a feeling the dinosaur episode comming up will join the ranks of the worst dr who episodes ever too, but you've got to give it a chance.

Never say worst series ever to someone who watched Colin Baker's first series first time round.

Actully enjoyed Colin Bakers series. Liked the cyberman story. I've seen every Colin Baker episode now, and not one was anywhere near as bad as series 6. Besides, sometimes I think of it as a comedy. Not often though. (talking about Colin here).

Series 6 was a terrible series, and two of the worst episodes ever are in that series. BTW, which Christmas special was in series 6, A Christmas Carol, or the one with the talking trees?

Anyway the coloured Daleks are the Officer Class and the Bronze daleks are the privates.
The red Drone Daleks have been changed, they are now a metalic Burgundy colour and seem to bo a sort of NCO Class.

I'm guessing you haven't seen any of season 24 or even 17 recently Lantern? Season 6 certainly had its low points (Night Terrors), but I thought it was lightyears above those two series.

Series 17? Really? The only one, I think is all that bad from S17 is Creature From The Pit? I quite Like Destiny of The Daleks, City Of Death, Nightmare of Eden, Horns of Nimon (Though I know this one is often disliked) and Shada, of course is awesome, and it's a shame it was never finished.
