How do you define unwarranted?

GeneHunt

Commander
Red Shirt
THIS IS HOW I DEFINE UNWARRANTED!!!

unwarranted
Having no justification; groundless: unwarranted interference.

Apparently, for Capt/Commander Will Decker, the definition had something to do with zapping bald chicks.

Yeah, going into the Cloud, which was the MISSION THE SHIP WAS SENT ON, was the only correct decision Kirk seemed to make in TMP and the only time Decker was completely off. What were they supposed to do? Sit and stare while Earth was digitized?

Heh. I always 'speak back' to movie lines like that in my head, as well.

From The Matrix, when they first see the Sentinels buzzing about:

Neo: What is that?
Trinity: A killing machine, designed for one thing.
(Me: Killing?)
Dozer: Search and destroy.
(Me: That's two things!)

From Chrisisall's New Universe Dictionary
Unwarranted: adjusting or changing the design of the original Star Trek series hand phaser for subsequent movies or television shows.

Really, let's not go on this again. There's already a thread about this.

From Herkimer Jitty's Galactic Dictionaripedia

Unwarranted: Constantly changing the damned definition of 'unwarranted'.

^ I suspect I'm not alone in not having seen more than a few minutes of it in over a decade. ;)
