Ground Zero

I have been thinking about something a lot lately. The 10 year anniversary of 9/11 is right around the corner. The redevelopment of the WTC site has been moving steadily forward. The Freedom Tower is at about the 62nd floor and the foundations have been laid for the memorials. Is it time to start referring Ground Zero back to the World Trade Center? Should we wait until all the building are built?

I think it will always serve as both. Our generation will remember it as both The World Trade Center and Ground Zero, while our children and their future generations will know it as the new World Trade Center, but will continue to know it as Ground Zero as well.

It's called One World Trade Center now, not the Freedom Tower. And Ground Zero will still be represented there symbolically as the reflecting pools on the site of the Twin Towers that are part of the memorial and museum.
