I don't think so.it's possible he married the holographic Leah
It's implied in All Good Things that Geordi eventually marries Dr. Leah Brahms. Given how creepy and awkward Geordi was around women I think it's possible he married the holographic Leah and not the real one. The kids are probably holograms too.
Just a thought.
A midlife crisis where she joins star fleet under an assumed name, and almost takes over the government?Maybe she had a midlife crisis and skeevy Geordi was there to pick up the pieces.
Oh god that sounds awful.
I suppose they routinely allow hologram versions of real people to become the director of the Daystrom institute, & their children to apply to the academy, or that they'd know enough real people at Starfleet medical, such that Geordi would be able to find out about Picard's syndrome, or that Picard himself would know Geordi's kids personally. It's implied in All Good Things that Geordi eventually marries Dr. Leah Brahms. What a bunch of insulting nonsense imho. It's not just implied he married her, it's outright stated & substantiated. If insubordinate & self-righteous Beverly could change enough to become a ship captain, It's just as possible Geordi could change enough that his marriage is plausible too. Sorry if it doesn't sit as well as a narrative that better suits your sensibilities![]()
Get over yourself, you jerk. It was clearly a tongue in cheek thread![]()
Indeed. And a post that ends with "Just a thought." is certainly inviting itself to be taken seriously. "I think it's possible" is also the sort of thing one says when expressing serious consideration of the idea. You say that but it's not always clear. In my short time here, I've seen enough batshit crazy theories proferred in a completely serious way that it's not as easy as you might think to spot the tongue in cheek. I thought you were being serious.

As far as being awkward around people you see as datable...common can't we relate to that? Once you find your person the comfort is there and the awkward goes away, or the awkward is something you love about them too.
Exactly! I was so awkward and "creepy" when i got back into dating. My boyfriend told me that on our first date he thought i was a total goober and the most rediculous awkward thing he had ever seen. That was two yeard ago and we're talking about marriage and kids now.Agreed. People also throw the word "creepy" around way too much these days. Just because you're awkward or shy towards a person you are attracted to doesn't automatically make you a creep.

It does raise a point, though...exactly why was the real Leah such a jerk? Geordi updated the hologram with her most recent personality profile, so they shouldn't have been that different...
Yeah he seemed to have some unreal expectations of her. He was expecting to pick up where he left off with the hologram. From her point of view I would be super creeped out if I found out some guy had a holoprogram of me that he was in love with.Well, you have to remember that she was hostile and spoiling for a fight the moment she beamed on board. I think the first words she said when meeting Geordi was something like "so you're the one messing up my engines." frankly, she was a bitch.
Finding the holoprogram after that certainly didn't help. Geordi's biggest problem was expecting that just because he got along famously with holo-Leah, he would get along famously with real Leah.
