By request, this week's hunk is the blue-eyed Canadian, Kevin Durand. Anyone who watches "LOST" will immediately recognize him as the evil and mysterious Martin Keamy, but he has appeared in many genre films and TV shows. He has also been cast in the upcoming sci-fi films, Legion and X-Men Origins:Wolverine.

Oddly enough,Kevin got his start in comedy, but because of his height (6' 6") and piercing blue-grey eyes, he was frequently cast as the tough guy. His first big break came when he was cast as the role of lion-faced Joshua in the genre TV series, "Dark Angel." He later snagged recurring roles on "Stargate: SG1," "Andromeda" and the American version of "Touching Evil." His film credits include The Butterfly Effect, Mystery Alaska, Walking Tall, Smokin' Aces and 3:10 to Yuma.

In his spare time, he is an active supporter of the Special Olympics and plays in Russel Crowe's band, 30 Odd Foot of Grunts.

I like watching him, i like his acting, but i never would have considered him hot. However, those publicity shots are somethin else. Good god does that man have nice abs!!

I'm going to have to go thumbs up on those last few shots alone.

Oh, and he's tall! :techman:

Good lord! If I had abs like that, I'd walk around shirtless everywhere I went -- to the grocery store, to church, skiing...

I give him a mild thumbs up. I find his eyes to be very interesting, and I remembered him for SG1 when I saw him 3:10 to Yuma. And he sure was good--or, uh, bad--as Keamy.

He definitely has a nice body but some pictures aren't very flattering when it comes to his face but in others he looks pretty good. So I guess he is more than a thumbs sideways but less than thumbs up so call it it a 45 degree thumb.

Urk, no!

AWESOME kick-ass villain, tho. That fight with Sayid will go down in history.

Just as his Goa'uld chapeau has already gone down in history:

AAAHHHH!!! :cardie: No way. He freaks me out, especially that mouth. If I was a woman, I'd cut my jugular with my thumbnail before letting him at me. :wtf:

I feel kind of bad saying that, what with the Special Olympics thing. And he's a cool actor, good for that kind of part. But hot? No no no. :(

Meh, I'm torn. Body from Baywatch, face from Crimewatch. Meh for me. Good actor though.

 Awesome reply.

As I stated, I gave him a thumbs up but for the record, I don't like his eyes....creepy. However, that body and his rugged face is muy sexy. :bolian:

Firstly, auntiehill, thank you for those publicity shots! *thud*.

Watching him on Lost he became my choice for Travis, if they ever get around to making (remaking, whatever) the new Blakes Seven.

He played Joshua in Dark Angel? I didn't know that. Loved Joshua, loathed Keamy, it's a funny old world.

You can tell I'm stalling, can't you? I have no idea how to vote!

(Also, the Losties will laugh - I spent ages trying to figure out the significance of the angel tat, only to realise it's the model's own!

He *would* make a good Travis.

You know, about the tattoo, I thought it was Widmore's emblem or something.
