Just read on Wiki that Gary Dourdan (who plays Warwick Brown) won't be coming back for year 9 as he and CBS have failed to reach a contractual agreement.

Not surprised though, he's barely been in the past 3 years.

Exodus of the non-white cast from the CSI franchises? There are a few token "ethnicities" like Delco and Bonasera but still essentially "white." At this stage the only regular black character is Hawkes.

Well, it seems like his character was officially written out in the most recent ep. I will admit I wasn't pleased with how they chose to do it, personally. He'll be missed.

Spoiler: CSI Season Finale

He was proved to be innocent of the crime in the end, so he goes out a good guy. I know he was gonna get killed when they showed them all at breakfast with 8 minutes left in the show though. Also, for someone who got fired, he did get a pretty character heavy last episode.

Although I don't watch CSI Miami all that much, I saw the episode featuring Khandi's exit from the show. What she said to Horatio toward the end was very sad and emotional--how she always worked in the quiet room examining dead bodies and now she felt she wanted to move on and spend more time "with the living" after her son got into trouble.

At last viewing, CSI's Warrick Brown (G. Dourdan) was the prime suspect for the murder of Lou Gedda, the scumbag bar and stripjoint entrepreneur. Did Warrick just get shot in the head by one of the other police/CSI characters?
