That blue "Jimbalian fudge" cake from "Voyager." God, it looks tantalizing!

Troi Cake: Cellular-peptide cake with mint frosting!

Raktijino: As a coffee addict, I just gotta. Maybe just a sip though, since I can't even handle Terran energy drinks, and this is coffee for Klingons.

"Spine-fish" from the alien mental hospital, in TNG's "Frame of Mind." I have a good mind to let myself get committed, just so I can taste that spine-fish. It looked so light and fluffy! Probably great with cracker, or on a bagel slathered in cream cheese.

Kelpian Sorry, not sorry. Ever since that Mirror Universe episode of "Discovery," I can't un-see how much Saru looks like clumps of Chinese chicken, waiting for some Teriyaki sauce.

"Marsupial Surprise:" I'm sad Neelix was all out of it, because it sounded good. I don't know what to imagine, but I'm assuming some kind of casserole you might have at Thanksgiving, something stuffing-like.

Alferian Hair Pasta: If it's like "Angle Hair" only silkier, and in higher protein! I'm sure with Prego it'd taste just fine.

EDIT: Romulan Swizzle! A Romulan woman with Bullwinkle's voice told Kira Nerys to try one, and I think I will too!

The irony is, it's probably not that good. Just illegal. Kind of like bootleg Smirnoff Ice brought from the back of an unregistered minivan with a fake ID in the middle of the summer at 1153PM.

Oh, I'm willing to bet it tastes NASTY. I mean, look at the face Kirk makes when he takes a sip in TWOK. That face lasts at least five seconds, and I'm sure James T. Kirk has had a LOT of various drinks over the years.

Then again, Bones seemed to like it, but he's from the deep south and probably drinks moonshine, too.

I'd try the Jimbalian Fudge Cake - if it was vegan (but I think everything made on SF ships technically IS made out of plant subsitutes anyway because plant matter can easily be made to taste the same as animal stuff to begin with already if necessary, and in Trek, this would be interesting - it could also be why most humans can live well up to 150 (or even slightly longer)... if they're vegan, lower chances of developing inflammation which can cause an avalanche of issues down the line).

Raktajino might be interesting... provided is has no animal ingredients in it... but knowing Klingons, it just might (although this could be one thing out of the most Klingon beverages which could be plant based).

This thread brings back memories of Quark's in Las Vegas.

It was nerd heaven.

The onion rings were the "Holy Rings of Betazed". A Long Island Iced Tea was a "James Tea Kirk". There was Blood Wine and Romulan Ale. And of course the Mother of All Drinks: The Warp Core Breach.

And all could be enjoyed while actors in character haggled and harassed you.

It was glorious.

Anyway, carry on...

Since replicated meat was never alive and doesn't require the slaughter of animals to produce, would all replicated food count as vegan even if it's meat? Hell, you could replicate your own flesh and literally serve yourself for dinner, with no negative ramifications whatsoever. That's an interesting thought.

Food from the replicators isn't exactly made from plant matter. It's inorganically fabricated out of thin air through a matter-energy conversion process. At least that's how it worked in the 24th century. I'm not sure if they ever explained how the protein resequencers and food synthesizers of previous eras worked.

That perfectly synthesized, ingeniously enhanced (or whatever she called it) replicated Ice Cream Sunday Troi rejected because it had too much nutritional value.
In fact just give me a replicator.

Of the alien dishes I want to try that purple soup Chapel made for Spock. And those Jumja Sticks that were sold on DS9.

I'm a burrito fan, so I would want to try hasperat because it looks kind of like a burrito and it's described as being spicy.

Kor
Seconded. Hasperat and springwine were among my favorite Deep Space Nine foodstuffs I've always wanted to try, along with Raktajino of course.

As a side note, apparently the Hasperat dishes created by the prop department were flour tortillas filled with cream cheese, green and red peppers, rolled and sliced. I wonder what they might be made from in-universe though.

Replicated meat wouldn't count as vegan because vegan usually means that a meal is not animal based at all.
Animal protein and products as such are badly digested in our guts which leads to colonization of bad bacteria in the intensines (higher production of acidic bile in the guts), leading to inflammation and can cause all sorts of issues down the line (cancer, dementia, cardiovascular diseases, shorter health span and lifespan, etc.).
This is one of the reasons I won't touch meat even if its grown without animal slaughter... its obviously better for the environment with no impact on the animals, but still has negative consequences for human health overall - and besides, even now, there are vegan replacements on the market with same taste and texture as the animal based stuff... so, really no point to consuming animal products again.

TNG "Preemptive Strike" says there is a brine involved in the process. But I don't remember any of the other ingredients ever being described.
