What's yours?

Mine's got to be the good old fashioned gin and tonic. It's refreshing, easy-to-make, and it goes down nice and smooth. I'll often make myself one when I want to relax in the evening, though I usually cheat a bit and use lime juice instead of a proper slice of lime. In fact, I had one earlier tonight. Nom. :)

Long Island Iced Tea or a Captain & Coke for me, though I have been known to drink many different types of drinks.

^ Bourbon and Coke here, as well, with ice or pre-chilled, I prefer all of my beverages very cold :techman:

I love the classic, proper martini that's made with gin.

I don't recognize anything labeled "martini" if it doesn't contain majority gin. That said, my mixed drinks are: 7:1 Bombay Sapphire martini, Tanqueray No. 10 [on the rocks or] with tonic, the Tatanka (Zubrowka vodka and apple juice---try this immediately if you haven't done so already), Bourbon and coke, vodka and some sort of juice, and double Bloody (blazingly hot) if it's still bright outside. Also, Hendrick's is an excellent gin that I enjoy substituting for Tanq or Sapphire whenever possible.

Mayan Coffee
1 shot dark rum
1/2 shot Kahlua (or other coffee liquor, I make my own)
1/2 shot Sugar Cane Syrup
everything shaken with ice and served.

Vermouth and coke.

I'm also partial to the classic Gin Lemon, Screwdriver (vodka, orange juice) White Lady (gin, cointreau, lemon juice). When I was younger, I used to drink something we called here The Invisible, but I don't know the international name (gin, cointreau, vodka), but nowadays it sends me out too fast and too far.

My latest thing is red snappers -- Crown, amaretto and cranberry, usually over ice. I'll leave out the amaretto sometimes if I don't have it on hand. In the summer, I lean towards things with Bacardi or Malibu. I make a lovely brunch beverage with Malibu, Triple Sec, Orangina and lime.
