Favorite Childhood Memories

What are some of your favorite childhood memories? One of mine is when my family would all sit around together in the living room, reading our library books. Sooner or later one of us would put our book down and go into the kitchen to fix some popcorn in a pan on the stove. Once it had been buttered and salted the rest of us would zip into the kitchen to get a bowlful for ourselves.

Sitting in my school hall with about 200 other children while we watched Neil Armstrong step onto the moon.

Going blackberry picking with my dad.

Waiting at the park at the end of street for the bookmobile to come during the school holidays.

Dad bringing fish and chips, and a bottle of Coke, home from the takeaway shop every Friday night.

Playing outside with friends pretending we were heroes.

One very happy day…returning from Huntsville’s space center..my Dad drove to my Aunts house (my Mom’s sister).

I got to play with their dog, and had an Estes Enterprise in a bag (that never got built.)

That was a perfect day.

Getting up at 6 every Saturday morning to watch Super Friends.

I was at the point of starting to not believe in Santa and was having a tough time... and out of nowhere, Santa showed up and gave me a present. A Littlefoot stuffed animal. 🙂 I asked my mom about it over the years and she didn't set anything up there. We're both appreciative about it tho. It was something very special.
