Seth MacFarlane has reportedly admitted the sexual orientation of Stewie Griffin on Family Guy.

The Emmy-winning creator and writer has revealed that the show's 1-year old baby is a homosexual.

MacFarlane told Playboy: "We had an episode that went all the way to the script phase in which Stewie does come out.

"It had to do with the harassment he took from other kids at school. He ends up going back in time to prevent a passage in Leviticus from being written: ‘Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is an abomination'."

He added: "But we decided it’s better to keep it vague, which makes more sense because he’s a 1-year-old. Ultimately, Stewie will be gay or a very unhappy repressed heterosexual. It also explains why he’s so hellbent on killing his mother Lois and taking over the world. He has a lot of aggression, which comes from confusion and uncertainty about his orientation."

Interesting

I cant see that it really matters. Its a surreal campy cartoon afterall. Stewie has gone both ways in the show. Peter is just as gay as Stewie sometimes.

The Family Gay episode is on right now, and just as I read this thread, Stewie just quoted Leviticus in regards to Peter being gay.

So weird ;).

I haven't been this unsurprised since they told us Peter was retarded.

...

No clip? Oh, thought we had a clip.

Funny thing is, I don't think they have kept it vague. As time has passed, the writers have made it obvious to the point that where they don't need to come right out and say it.

^Yes, this is a bit of old news. However, Stewie is like Mr. Humphries from Are You Being Served?, both played for camp, using their stereotypical gay tendancies and sexual ambiguity for maximum hilarity.

^ Rigor mortis. ;) Then there was one episode where Lois and Meg tried to peek through a hole in the wall to watch Tom Brady in the shower. Stewie wondered what the commotion was and saw for himself. "Hello!"
