Everwood (2002-06 "The WB" drama)

Has anyone heard of, seen, or is watching Everwood (2002-06), an old "The WB" drama? It's about two families, both headed by a doctor, the only doctors in town (as of S1 anyway), set in a fictional rocky mountain Colorado town. It's a mostly family drama, the comedy coming from the quirkiness of the characters. It's a great series. Anyone watch? I am watching it on Amazon Prime Video via Freevee and I'm on S2.

I never watched but know it was one of those "best shows you're not watching" type of shows.

And that three regulars have recently passed away. :(
Yeah, it's very sad, but I don't think about that when I watch. When I do think about how awesome it would be if they did a reunion movie, that's when it hits me that some of them have passed away, and I have a quiet reflective moment. When watching the show, I don't think about that, though. You can watch it via Amazon Prime Video for free, all 4 seasons, all 89 episodes.
It was/is an amazing show and i liked watching in, really became invested in it.

One of the earliest roles of Chris Pratt and Emily VanCamp.
Yeah, this show really launched Chris Pratt's career, same for Emily VanCamp.
Did you get to watch all 4 seasons?

Yes i did. The way i remember it was cancelled somewhat unexpectedly because it was quite popular but the unplanned finale still left the characters in a good place.

In 2006, UPN and The WB were merging into The CW, so there was lot of question as to which shows would continue on The CW and which shows would be cancelled. "Foreverwood" was intended to work as two-hour season or series finale. If the show was cancelled, we got an ending. If the show renewed for S5, it left the door open for things to continue. I've seen the whole series (I'm rewatching), so I can say the show does have an ending.

You Will Be Missed :wah:
Treat Williams (1951-2023) played Dr. Andy Brown, the star of the show.
Stephanie Niznik (1967-2019) played Nina Feeney, Andy's beautiful next door neighbor.
John Beasley (1943-2023) played Irv Harper, the husband of Andy's nurse.
Anne Heche (1969-2022) played Amanda Hayes, Andy's love interest in Season 3.

I remember this show. I watched Everwood mainly for the stories involving the adults. The adult characters and storylines were just as interesting, if not more, than the teenage ones.

The doctor played by Tom Amandes was the most fascinating character on the show.

One of the more memorable episodes was the abortion episode.

I regretted not watching the final season to see how the series concluded.
