eReaders eBooks eink - electronic newsstand

i was lucky enough to get a Barnes & Noble NOOK Simple Touch eReader for Christmas. While not a large novel reader I do read nonfiction and periodicals and newspapers as well as files I've saved for reference for the past 10 years (.TXT, .DOC, .PDF, .RTF)
I wanted the Nook Simple Touch as it was black and white and easy on the eyes and non-eye-fatiguing like LCD screens and lightweight.
I've subscribed to the NY Times eReader edition which was $20./month subscription which is about 64 cents for the newspaper which beats going to the newsstand for $2.00/issue especially looking for one while traveling when I can download it via WiFi.
After some research I found the B&N Nook eReader models would allow me to read PDFs very easy with drag and copy folders of converted ePub documents using free 3rd party software like Calibre.
I think the prices for black and white eink readers will come down to $50.-75. within a year or 2 and really change things in the publishing world.
Have others recently gotten an eReader and plan on getting a newspaper eReader subscription? How do you like it?
Any suggestions for newspapers other than the NY Times for the eReader version matching the print version?

I got the Kindle Touch for Christmas, and just released my first book via Kindle Direct Publishing. I was worried that the Touch wouldn't work so well, but I've found the touchscreen to actually be rather responsive. It can be a little slow to refresh, and at times I have to tap a menu option more than once. But in the majority of use, a simple tap or swipe and the page changes with no problems. It's also really easy to read and to hold in my hand, so all in all, I love it.

I don't plan to get a newspaper subscription (I actually work at a newspaper, so I'm exposed to the news constantly) but just in general I pretty well love the device.

I bought a Kobo reader when Borders first started having their downsizing sales at a price that it's still hard to find at now and I absolutely love it. It's probably my favorite electronic gadget and I take it pretty much everywhere I go now. I just read novels with it, but recently I started using calibre to download some newspapers and periodicals that I put on it and read when the occasion calls for it. The Kobo has some quirks, which have been improved upon with upgrades over time, but it's been reliable enough for me. The nice thing about E-ink devices, in addition to being easy on the eyes, is that the battery life last forever. I have yet to need to charge the device due to a dead battery. It gets charged whenever I hook it up to my computer to download books and periodicals through calibre and it's just fine like that.

I've considered getting one of the new touch readers, but honestly can't justify it just yet as my wireless Kobo is just fine for me right now.

I have a Kindle 4. I like reading newspapers on it, but I won't subscribe, as I don't read newspapers enough to justify $20 a month.
