I'm sad for Obi Ndefo. What a terrible ordeal to go through at all in the first place, and then to have to live with such consequences.

I'm also angry about the drunk driver. Someone in my circle of acquaintances lost his life to a drunk driver recently... But perhaps that's a discussion for another time.

Arrested? Drunk driving? Obi is being perhaps too kind in having no ill will but that's a remarkable high road he's choosing. Been there, done that in other things - as have most of us depending on the issue.

As for DUIs in general, it depends on more nuanced circumstances; I don't know all the details for this case, nor am I going to try to find any - all I currently know in general is, drunk driving isn't a good thing (and I was in an abusive relationship with an alcoholic but at least my scars aren't in the liver. But there are tangents I won't jump into...)

I wish Obi the best. And justice for the one engaging in DUI, as appropriate.

I wish goodness in his life. I actually remember him more on Stargate. I hope gets to do more acting as well and would fit into any of the Trek shows. Jason

Wow, how crazy. It sounds like he's doing better than most would in that situation. Something about the thought of losing a limb is so instinctually terrifying, even scarier than deadly diseases that are much more common. I suppose if you make it through that, you'd feel like you could handle nearly anything.

Great to see he's doing better and it's great that people have raised 212K of the 268K that he needs for his prosthetic legs!!!

I'm all about second chances, but not in this case. He could have killed the man. That Obi being an amputee is a better option shows you that this guy needs the book thrown at him.
