did netflix fix the glitches in TNG remastered? Particularly season 2?

I've only ever watched the blu rays i have with the obvious flaws like the misaligned SFX elements and overuse of Denoise in Season 2, or the vertically squished ship during heroe shots and such or even later on stars inside the Dyson sphere. I know Netflix fixed one or two things, but did they fix up the framing issues and the noise issues in season 2? Or is it the same bad HTV release as teh blu rays?

Huh, can’t say I ever heard of any of these issue you are naming. I remember that there were a handful of shots for which the original footage couldn’t be found, so they upscaled SD footage. But squished ships, stars inside the Dyson sphere, misaligned SFX and overuse of de-noise would be news to me. Not saying you are wrong, of course, just that I can’t remember these. Can you perhaps provide any screenshots? :)

Also, I gotta wonder why Netflix would fix any issues with the remaster? Wouldn’t that still be something that only Paramount does?

EDIT: Okay, I found the Dyson sphere mistake you mentioned. And indeed, it seems to be fixed on the version that’s available on both Paramount+ and Netflix. Here’s a comparison: https://imgsli.com/MzU4NjQx

If the digitized film elements still existed, then it'd be a matter of resizing them, reordering the layers so that the deflector dish and other glows didn't look as awkward. But I recall the Borg cube felt lacking (missing texture layer?). Season 2 had the most mistakes of any season by far, unfortunately... (yet there's one episode fixed that the original edit/SD had goofed! I'd posted that years ago, though...)

I recall seasons 3 and 4 had a couple corrections put to streaming edition that weren't updated on blu, at least for the original release. Had any of the re-releases showed 'Brothers' where they changed the frigging bulb and the bridge glowed blue to show an environmental failure? That's what got me to conjure up the following bit of typical silliness:

That one too.

Great comparison, thanks! Look not-too-carefully and you can see how the blu-ray has more and sharper picture definition with contrasting/shadow detail areas, even if the blu has the mistake and showing the stars...
