With the announcement of CW's lineup, the first details of Season 3 are starting to come in, so it's time for a new thread.

Here's the first article:
http://ew.com/tv/2017/05/18/legends-of-tomorrow-season-3-spoilers/

Short synopsis:
Rip Hunter forms the Time Bureau and politely asks the Legends to disband, which they do until Mick and Sara meet again on the beach in Aruba and decide to get the team back together.

Some takeaways:
- Legends are premiering in the Fall with the rest of the shows
- no news on how many episodes are ordered
- they'll stay in their last timeslot, Tuesdays after The Flash
- Vixen is suspiciously absent from the people mentioned in the article

Wait what about LA and the Dinosaurs

Edit: I should have read the article, it is explained there

In revisiting a moment in time that they had already participated in, they have essentially fractured the timeline and created anachronisms – a scattering of people, animals, and objects all across time! Our team must find a way to return all the anachronisms to their original timelines before the time stream falls apart.

That's pretty much what I guessed they'd do -- obviously the whole timeline wasn't rewritten, so I figured it'd be more about time pockets or scattered anachronisms or the like. Say, maybe Jonah Hex has been flung into a Mad Max-style future (which happened to him in the comics once), or some WWII soldiers have been flung back to the Roman Empire, or something.

And, yes, the lack of mention of Amaya is troubling.

I'm hoping the omission is an innocent oversight, but it would sort of make sense for her to go back to her own time once the group disbands.

As for additions, last night's Arrow reminded me it would be pretty great if they brought Nyssa along for the ride, the team could do with a good archer :techman:

Except that she chose not to go back to her own time because she wanted to stay with Nate. The Legends disbanding doesn't mean Nate and Amaya would break up. If that happened, it'd be independent of the other thing.

But then Sara wouldn't be free to sleep around with historical royalty! ;)

And if she and Sara'd get back together, maybe the show could stop having Sara making out with historic women when she really should help the guys fight the villains.

Oh, who am I kidding, she'd just make out with Nyssa and keep her from fighting, too.

I think we can all agree that when we see the Dinosaurs in LA next season they must have feathers.:) Without it we will never be able to trust the science stuff in the show ever again.
Speaking of the show am I the only one who would like to see Stein's daughter join the cast. I think it would be neat to see him be able to be a father and maybe a romance between the daughter and Jefferson would be fun to see how that effects Stein's friendship with Jefferson.

I figured that Amaya could stay away from 1942 for quite a while - as long as she eventually returns to 1942.

I have to agree. I never thought the science on this show, let alone the CW shows like "The Flash" were that realistic to begin with. Especially when dealing with time travel.

It can't be too long..she needs to be grandmother to modern day Vixen, and for it to work , they need to be mindful of her biological clock

I was thinking that I'd like Lotz to keep that hair color for the next season, but I guess it would stand out when the Legends visited the past.

Considering the Legends usually drop the "blending in" aspect before the title screen hits, it shouldn't be a problem ;)
