When a fatal accident occurs on board the International Space Station, a lone astronaut makes the heroic journey back to Earth, only to discover key pieces of her life--including her young daughter--have changed.

First three episodes premiere Feb. 21.

I was mildly interested...until I saw the show creator and main writer is Peter Harness, who wrote the awful Doctor Who episodes 'Kill the Moon" and "The Pyramid at the End of the World" (I'm indifferent to the Zygon two-parter but I know others hated it, too).

It might be an unpopular opinion, but i thought the episode had some very interesting ideas: humanity turning it back on space exploration, thus using elderly astronauts. Referendum by everyone turning the light on or off. The doctor letting humanity make their own decisions/mistakes.
But... it was all so underbaked. Like a first draft. Such a pitty...

Regarding this new show. It's on apple, so no one will see it anyway...

I'll probably watch the first few episodes to give this show a chance. I just feel (right now) like I've already seen this before, a few times over the years. From what little I've been able to read on-line, it seems like this story has been done before. I hope they bring something fresh to the trope.

Now that you mention it, wasn't there a show on CBS with Halle Berry that had almost the exact same premise a few years ago?

He is a bit of a pot luck.

On the one hand he also wrote the TV screenplay/adaptation for the rather grand Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

And also the 2019 adaptation of War of the Worlds...

Bump, since the first three episodes are out.

Watched all three and I have a LOT of questions.
Overall, I found the show to be very engaging so far, but definitely not something you can watch if you are doing something else at the same time. There are a lot of holes that will need to be filled in over the course of the rest of the series. Not plot holes in the traditional sense, but just a few "WHAT?" kind of moments.

Apollo 18?
Henry/Bud Caldera?
What's causing Jo's swiss cheese brain moments?

The show wrapped this week.. i teally felt it was concluding nicely for the main character, resigned to living a life that isn’t hers, etc…. Until the parting shot… There had better be a season two or it will drive me nuts.

definitely not a show you can miss parts of.

They walked around the snow in that cabin for maybe four hours of the eight hour runtime. I really wanted to like this show more but the editing is just so bizarre.

Trailer reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode where the astronaut is translated to a slightly altered reality, and everyone there thinks he's gone nutter.

Rightfully so. They really butchered the pacing. It was two hours of content stretched over eight hours.
