If anybody wants to have the #1 sure bet of the year in college basketball, the South Carolina Gamecocks will be taking on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in about five minutes. I really wish I had the guts to bet a fortune on this one, because my JSU Gamecocks are in LAST PLACE in the RPI rankings. #345 is not a very good place to be, and I expect SC to cover the -17.5 spread and then some. Maybe 40 or 50 points? One of the best players for JSU (if you can call any of them good) is stuck in NY due to bad weather. Anyway, should be interesting.

And so it circles around, as the UConn women's basketball team is beaten by Stanford. Ironically it was the Cardinal who were the last team to beat the Huskies.

ESPN kept interrupting the bowl game I was watching to show live look ins. I'm glad all this is over with. Although, I'm pretty sure they will have a streak counter now that says "Wins not against Stanford".

I don't follow the Women's game that much but I was captivated by the end of that Stanford game. They maintained control of the game and that arena was rocking that entire time. Well done to Vanderveer and her team for pulling off the upset. Felt like a championship game with that rowdy crowd.
