Was it any good? It sure looks interesting.

Everything about the game is interesting... except the story. It suffers from George Lucas syndrome, where no one told David Cage that the story made very little sense. I can see people being interested in the game and taking stuff away from it, but the story is not one of those things.

Hm, I thought it was pretty good; it's the reason I bought a PS3. Just that the ending was too static. It'd be much more entertaining if the killer was different depending on several different factors that are made through-out the game.

It's dogshit. The problem with Heavy Rain is that it isn't any fun to actually play, which is a huge problem with a game, a problem that I thought we'd gotten past a decade ago. The story can be enjoyable at a few moments, but I begged for it to advance every single time I was given control of a character. David Cage desperately wants to be a movie director, not a game designer, and this game shows it.

It's basically Cage trying to show off once again that in a world of video game amateurs, he is an artiste. The only fun I got out of it was seeing how badly it was either broken or could be broken -- particularly noticeable if you don't do exactly what Cage wanted you to do in his game. It's a terrible "movie," and even worse as a game ... there isn't much more to be said.

"Red Dead" should've been top, and there's no way you'll concivne me "Black Ops" is better than "StarCraft 2".

That totally depends on what you want out of games nowadays though. Honestly, whenever someone can make a multimillion dollar game that isn't a shooter or a hack and slash game, I'm willing to give it a try.

The problem is just building a game around mostly pointless mechanics. Sometimes the actions you do are very meaningful - other times, you're opening doors and drinking orange juice.

Then again, I'm willing to suffer through the non-sense of a Metal Gear Solid game in order to experience the small moments of inspired game design because I'm funny that way.
