Chicken of the sea - grace lee?

So I’m watching a taste test video on YT about sardines (ok, I admit it’s weird. But I love sardines) and at approx 8:00 in he claims that grace lee was the model for the chicken of the sea mermaid. He also includes a picture of GLW in said attire!

I don’t think she was the model for the logo, just that they hired her to play the part of their blonde mermaid. I think she actually used to sing the jingle on an old radio show, which was filmed with a live audience, hence needing to be in costume.
