Apologies if this has been posted already. I checked and didn't see a thread but I could have missed.it. Anyhow this is pretty darn cool. Always wanted one. A little pricey but still very nice.

Haha. I would totally buy it. But I think some will consider it pricey so I mentioned it. lol But you are correct. It would be a pita to make one. I have seen some of out there. Which are very well done actually.

This is actually pretty cool. I would buy this.

Lincoln Enterprises made a replica of the pendant in the 70's but I think it was without the block. It was also like 9 bucks. No idea how accurate it was. This new one looks amazing.

Perhaps they will make that one next. I'm pretty sure for the episode they made two separate props. The one without the block had the nacelle struts further towards the neck of the ship.

Reasonably certain that's what I heard. The one not encased was lost, the one encased is at Air and Space.

Also, the one not encased was used in the original fx of "The Doomsday Machine."

Absolutely there were two as you suspect. There were actually slight differences between the two, specifically the engine pylons were a little different.

for the not encased version I use the pewter hallmark ornament from a few years ago. hung on a watch chain.

One where the block was rounded and a tether only attached to it means it looks like a Starship shield bubble.

Matt lines needed that look.
