What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?

With Brightburn, the visionary filmmaker of Guardians of the Galaxy and Slither presents a startling, subversive take on a radical new genre: superhero horror.

Blimey. Someone call Batman. :)

My headcanon is that the bright, optimistic superhero in the Brightburn universe is this guy.

Nothing "radical" or "new" about it. It's old for anyone that's read comics since the 80's.
Since the 40's. I've heard that Joe Simon called Captain America a horror book. And looking at the early issues, he might be right.

Very nice Man of Steel trailer... homage? It was so similar and borrowed so many lines I kept expecting it to burst into parody.

The concept is good. The execution may or may not be. I'm curious.

Holly Synchronicity! I have been watching "Batman 66" for the the first time in awhile and I can tell this is from the ep I will be watching next as I go through them all. The surfing ep.

I like the homage to Man of Steel as well. It would be interesting to see this as a film trilogy following the Omen in style. The first movie as a child, the second as a young man, and the third as the ruler of the world.
