Bottle Shock release date? (Chris Pine related)

Bottle Shock is an indy movie in which Chris Pine has a substantial role from which we can finally assess his acting ability.

"Bottle Shock" explores the birth of California's Napa wine industry, and their triumph over the French at the 1976 Paris Tastings

Anyone know when this movie will hit theaters? Since I'm in SF, I'd imagine this would be a prime market and I'd like to go just to see our future Kirk in action. Also sounds interesting in its own right. Buffy fans might want to see it for Eliza Dushku.

I think it could turn out to be an interesting twist on the underdog-sports movie template.

Unlike some folks, I do not require car chases and splosions in order to be entertained. And that little wine-tasting movie named Sideways a few years back didn't do so badly for itself. ;) At least this story has some built-in dramatic tension.

Isn't this at Sundance currently? If so, it might be awhile before you see it theatrically since a lot of those films are there looking for distributors.

Either wine-tasting or car crashes and splosions? Bit of an either/or isn't it?

Maybe if there were explosions at the wine tasting??

I would have given it a shot based on the subject matter (I enjoy wine and indie comedies) and the awesomely eclectic cast (Alan Rickman, Dennis Farina, Miguel Sandoval, Bradley Whitford, and Freddy Rodriguez among others). The fact that Boy Kirk is in it is merely a bonus.

When watching somebody interview Chris Pine about this movie (one of the few times I've seen video of him) I have to say that he kind of struck me not so much as a "classic leading man" but more of a better-looking Steve Zahn; just a really down-to-earth dude. The guy who works at Footlocker, so to say.

As I've said before, it'll be interesting to see how he plays Kirk. I'm probably anticipating his performance more than anybody else's in the movie.

The wine explodes - after you drink it!!!

Waitaminute, that's a good idea for a horror flick. Well not good exactly, but I haven't seen a movie like that, and that should be worth something...

EDIT:

I found the trailer...I hereby rescind all interest in this movie, it looks AWWWWFFUUULLL!! Any flick that can make Alan Rickman just seem flat-out annoying desperately needs a car crash or two tho I suspect they may need one of the magnitude of The Blues Brothers to rescue it.

Click on the link, tho, to see Captain Kirk on the Way to Eden sporting some serious hippie hair! :p Herbert he is not.
