Best Christmas episodes of tv shows?

People like to talk about the best Christmas movies or songs but what about tv episodes with a Christmas theme? What would you favorites be? My top 5 list would be:

1 The Family Guy ep were Brian and Stewie meet Santa Claus and decided to do the trip for him. Their home invasion as it is called is a great moment in the shows history.

2 The Eureka episode were everyone is turned into a cartoon.

3 The "My So Called Life" episode were RIcki is homeless and Angella meets a Angel.

4 The Futurama episode were you first meet the killer Santa Claus.

5 The "South Park" trilogy dealing with Black Friday at the Mall.

Futurama for sure. Such a great, funny, caring episode.

Boston Legal had a fun episode dealing with a gay / cross dressing Santa and the judge goes 'Would you sit on his lap?!' and Alan Shore goes 'Sure, why not?' and sits on the guy's lap then go 'And look he didn't go homo erect on me either'. Love that show.

Roseanne did a great one where the family got a notice saying they were trying to 'class up' the street that season, and could everyone take it easy on the ugly decorations. So of course the Connors doubles down and loaded their house with tacky decorations.

Married with Children did a crazy story about a shopping center Santa falling to his death in their backyard and Al has to take over as Santa and 'save the day.'

On Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry rented a scene of actors to recreate a nativity scene to placate his gentile in-laws. When his in-laws return home, they are horrified to see that Larry is fist fighting with the actor playing Joseph.

My #1 favorite Mad Men episode is Christmas Comes But Once a Year in which SCDP throws a crazy, over-the-top Christmas party to impress the Lucky Strike douchebag.

"Time to turn on our simple white lights." Then they whip out the giant spotlights. I love that episode.

That was the first season. Later they did the Bundy version of "It's a wonderful Life" with Sam Kinison as Al's guardian angel. That one ruled.

I think it's from the first season of Scrubs where Turk has a real crisis of faith after doing a shift in the ER over the holidays. Extremely deep for a comedy show.

"Christmas Story" from the first season of The Andy Griffith Show is the one that stands out for me. Scroogey, lonely Ben Weaver looking through the jailhouse window...

While on the one hand I detest sitcoms that insist on doing a take-off of Dicken's Christmas Carol (and if I am ever elected as Emperor of All Time and Space, the practice will be forever banned), on the other hand I liked the episode of WKRP in Cincinnati that did so.

Oh yeah, I forgot that one. That was good.

Xena. :techman: Also the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Christmas episode from the first season.

This is good to know because I just recently started watching "Crazy Ex-GIrlfriend" for the first time on Netflix so now I have a special ep to look forward to since I am still in season 1. Great show so far.

Two more ep's to add

Buffy:;Amends. The episode were Angel wants to kill himself but is stopped by it snowing.

South Park-The Woodland Critters episode. Actually this should have been in my first top 5 over the BLack Friday, "South Park" ep. DOn't know how I forgot it.

Some of my favourite episodes is when they turn them into an event. For example, for the last several years, for Murdoch Mysteries, they've made movie-length Christmas episodes. One in particular had a monster doing killings around Christmas, with Murdoch investigating. It was very Lovecraft inspired.

The Community episode where Abed has his delusion of being stop motion animated.

South Park has many good options, Christmas Critters is just the best. There's also the original and the music episode. Mr Garrison's song about going around the world and forcing people of other religions to celebrate Christmas. "Hey there Mr Shintoist, MERRY F***ING CHRISTMAS!"

"A Very Supernatural Christmas. "

Some murder, some brotherly love, some ganking of monsters...what's not to love?

It's Always Sunny... had a great Christmas special, I remember howling with laughter at it.

Scrubs, Buffy, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are all good calls too.

I feel like I should mention the episode in Frasier where Frederick is visiting, purely for the "The Cranes from Maine have got your living brain!" from Niles.
