"Back to The Wild, Wild, West" Publicity Shots

GSchnitzer

Co-Executive Producer
In Memoriam
Most folks know that Retro Film Studios not only tries to put out a Star Trek Phase II episode roughly annually, but we've embarked on a couple of other projects, too--notably a web-based Buck Rogers Begins series and, now, a Wild, Wild West fan film series.

We've started shooting our first Back to The Wild Wild West episode "Night of the Golden Spikes." We have some publicity shots of James Cawley as James West, Paul Sieber as Artemus Gordon, Mark Strock as President Grant, Emlee Vassilos as our damsel in distress (but can she be trusted?) and our director Mr. Mark Burchett is in one shot.

Although it's not really Trek-related, I thought folks might be interested.

I'm sure no one will have to tell him what you said, Dennis. He'll come by and read it himself. Nice shots, even if I was never a fan of The Wild, Wild West.

As a long-time fan of The Wild, Wild West, I'm really looking forward to this fan series. What intereets me the most is how so many people associated with 1960s sci-fi have "James" as their first name. Kirk, West, Cawley!

Will the opening credits follow in the footsteps of the original series? And will West slug the woman on the right or take her out with a big, wet one?

Just waint until we start our new "Mission: Impossible" fan series!

Dunno what we'll do with the opening credits. We're in production, not in post-prodcution.

It just would not be the same without the animated opening and bookends. I'd bet you guys could find someone who could concoct a flash version that would be quite nice...

Have you guys ever thought about contacting Anthony DeLongis ("First Maje Culluh” from Star Trek: Voyager) for a role in an episode? I could see him playing a wild west villain. The guy is as close to a real life cowboy as you can get, and he works on independant films that interest him from time to time. He also has his own ranch and horses just outside LA. I could see him being interested in a project like this!

I interviewed him last year for the He-Man.org website, about his work on the Masters of the Universe film, and he was a true gentleman. You can check out the interview at: http://www.he-man.org/cartoon/feature.php?id=51&fid=95

Those are the original title animations with the title cards replaced. Not a recreation.
