Avengers console game coming this Fall

Ubisoft Announces Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth

Some key point from the press release for the lazy:

• It's a "motion game", for Xbox360 Kinect and Wii U only
• It's based on Marvel's Secret Invasion storyline.
• Features "over 20 characters" (didn't say how many would actually be playable, though)

I don't have very high hopes for it, myself. But hey, you never know.

I've got a very simple solution for a good Avengers game.

It's called Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3.

Yeah, that's what I was going to say. I forget if it was Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 or 2 that I played, but that was actually a very well-done game. It was actually my first introduction to Loki (and Deadpool).

Plus, there's just a brief moment in the Avengers movie during the New York battle when Iron Man bounces one of his beams off Cap's shield that I could swear came right out of that game.

Yeah, MUA was awesome. Better than its X-Men Legends predecessors, IMO.

My first introduction to Deadpool was in X-Men Legends 2, and I've been in love with the character ever since. In your first pay through he's just a boss (he's under mind control). But you unlock him as a playable character after you finish the game. If you ever play the game make sure to have Deadpool in your party when you reach the Deadpool boss battle. The exchange is much better than the one you get in the Doom battle at the end of MUA if you have Doom in your party.

Yep that's it! Looking at that clip, I have to say that the movie must have nailed Loki since, even though I've never read a Thor comic, they're both very similarly played.
