Attention: Anyone who loved the OLD-JUMP the SHARK website.

As many of you may know TVGUIDE.COM bought JUMP THE SHARK and has proceeded to comply DEMOLISH it.

Gone is the fantastic commentary & witty remarks from TV viewers noting when this show or that show Jumped the Shark and began to decline.

In its place is a slick gossipy abomination that has nothing to do with Jumping the Shark.

Why TV guide would buy a site to destroy it makes no sense.

I read an article showing a graph where hits to site are dropping like the proverbial rock since the change in format.

Anyway some die hard fans of the old site have launched a new verision of everything that was good about the old site and its called

BONE THE FISH.

I also was horrified to find the old GTS site gone. That was a great resource of the internet which basically served as a public review site for pretty much every TV series ever made.

You would have think they would have archived all the commentaries somewhere but I can't follow TV GUIDE's thinking when it comes to destroying the orginal site.

Hey the new BTF site is actually much better than the old JTS Site, they have movie series on threre as well, in fact Star Trek is getting analyzed on all of the old TV incarnations, plus the entire movie series.

Sounds kind of gross.

Almost sexual.

Not as catchy as 'jump the shark."

Big companies getting a hold of some of these websites is runining things. Television Without Pity just wasn't "the same" once Bravo got ahold of it.

Actually, that's pretty good, and gets the point across just as well for a modern audience as Jump the Shark does. It's certainly a hell of a lot better than Bone the Fish.

Bone the Fish is supposed to be a gross term, even disturbing, just like what Jon Hein and TV Guide did to "Jump the Shark". If you can get past that, the site is taking off- there are thousands of comments from former JTS users already, so instead of making up more names for sites, why not support the people that are actually doing something - www.bonethefish.com

I'm just thankful some other fans made a site I can get my fix of the old JTS from!
