Ashton Kutcher Replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men

Dream

Sources confirm that Ashton Kutcher has finalized a deal to replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men — a suggestion that was first proposed on this site three months ago.

Sure he was one of a half-dozen names we floated, but we still deserve props, dammit!

The Kutcher news comes two days after Deadline.com reported that Hugh Grant rejected a lucrative offer to join CBS’ No. 1 sitcom.

Looks like entire Charlie Sheen drama ends with him being booted off the show.

Probably turn out being his illegitimate son from one of his many trysts. I can think of dozens of better choices than Ashton Kutcher. Ugh

This is priceless!

Of course, this means that we'll be seeing his buddies and "family" in guestrolls on the show.

Charlie Sheen was Talented enough to find a TV show where he could be himself. Not a talented actor, but certainly a talented opportunist and perhaps Ashton is just as cunning.

I saw 80's John Crier in Morgan Stewart's Coming Home Yesterday.

The lad deserves more props even if he's been coasting for the last decade.

I'm betting the ratings take a dive. Ashton Kutcher is a wooden actor if I ever saw one. He's got Demi Moore, and I don't even know how he managed that despite the age difference.

Kutcher was pretty funny on That 70s Show. I think as long as they make his character on Men a grinning dufus without a thought in his pretty little head he'll make the role his own.

They may as well can the show now.

Charlie Sheen owns that show. He is Charlie Harper

It was never very funny to begin with but by the gods I hate Ashton-Martin Kitcher.

Can the show now

Heaven help us. Why hasn't Ashton-Martin been banished to the seventh circle of hell yet?

For the hat trick, Kutcher gets cast as Captain Willard in a musical remake of Apocalypse Now with Charlie Sheen as Kurtz.

Eh. I'll watch an ep or 2, see how it goes. Think you guys are way harsh.

It'll want to be a bloody clever storyline though.

Yep. They're a kind of guilty pleasure. Often times, one will come along that it seems like no one has ever heard of and you totally get into it, and family and friends give you puzzled looks. There are some very popular ones (Big Bang Theory springs to mind).

But one should stress, especially in relation to 2.5 Men, guilty pleasure. :)

Would rather have seen John Stamos or Jeremy Piven as a replacement character. Ashton Kutcher doesn't seem right assuming he's going to play a womanizing dummy similar to Charlie (Harper and Sheen).
