Are you an Autobot or a Decepticon ?

This thread about the Transformer Universe. If you were a Transformer, would you be an Autobot or a Decepticon.

And what would be your vehicle form ?

I would choose to be a Decepticon by the name of Roadburn and my vehicle form would be an Audi R8. Audi cars make a good evil looking vehicle form.

I know that was another Decepticon called Sideways who also used an Audi R8 vehicle model in the Revenge of the Fallen. He was silver in color and my vehicle would be black. I just think that the Audi R8 make a good Decepticon vehicle form.

It seems to be about ideology more so than collecting taxes after the Decepticons declare victory.

Does that mean that...

A. The Autobots will be enslaved. Worker class drones, and house slaves that do what they are told or else. I mean would you join an army and attack Canada, if you could come home with half a dozen slaves to look after your garden and clean your house?

B. Ethnic cleansing. The autobots were going to be melted down to make new Decepticons. There's no point in joining an army and conquering Canada if Canadians are still going to be there scheming, to one day rise up and fuck you over when you least expect it. Death Camps systematically removing all Canadians from Canada is the only way that American children will be safe in Canada.

C. Conversion. Loyalty oaths and new paint jobs. (And if that's why they had a 4 million year long civil war, fuck them.) So you burn all Canadian money, Canadian flags, and break the hand of any child that says "aboot" instead of "about" with a ruler, as you assimilate all Candians, informing them that briefly as soon, that they are all American Citizens with the full rights of American citizens.

Seriously?

Self-sustaining immortal machines.

They have no needs, and no scarcity.

What does victory do for one side or the other, and what happens to the losers?

At least when the Napoleonic French won a war in the 19th century, their generals would say to their men after the victory party... "Right, you can rape, murder and take anything in that city over there not nailed down for the next week. Have the time of your life!"

(Yes rape. At least that's how the Sharpe novels I read made it out to be.)

The immortality of it is a bitch, because according to the comics in the 80s, Cybertronians used to be the same unified political group. The Decepticons tried to take over from grass roots for no reason, and then after they almost won, Optimus Prime said "HELL NO" and turned back the tide.

So were the Autobots created as a resistance movement to the Decepticons, or was originally everyone an Autobot?

I would be a Decepticon by build who turned to the Autobot side by choice named Polis Galaxia. And I'd be a double Headmaster like Fortress Maximus - human in suit transforms into head of city administrator robot, which can also transform into a shuttle or into the head of the whole city when it is in robot mode. And in addition to robot mode and city mode, the city would have a starship mode that would look similar in design to the Ark except it would be comparatively HUGE and purple and green and also look a bit like a TOS Romulan Bird of Prey.

Transformers need energy, and since their planet is a rogue with no star of its own to draw solar power from, that's a real problem for them. They also need the ability to create more of themselves, and in my fanfic ideas for Transformers, this is a real bone of contention between the two factions, because only the Autobots have the Matrix, and it is the only thing that can make new sparks (souls). This is backed up by the G1 episode in which Starscream built the Combaticons - he had to go to Cybertron and steal some already existing sparks from a prison there to put into them.

And as to which faction came first, the answer is neither: The creators of the Transformers, the Quintessons, created the Autobots as a consumer product line, and the Decepticons to sell to planetary militaries. They intended them to be "smart" products, but they weren't supposed to become sentient or sapient, and when they did, they rebelled together and kicked the Quints off of Cybertron - together. And for a while, they lived in peace, but eventually the military programming in the Decepticon mindset came back to the forefront, and they tried to take over so they could proceed to conquer the galaxy.

And as to the 4 million year civil war, they were inert for a huge portion of that time, because when the planet runs low on energon - as it does when travelling through the depths of interstellar space and neither Autobots nor Decepticons have returned from their expedition to get gas to fill the tank up with (because they stranded themselves on Earth) - the whole thing goes into a low power sleep mode.

The Autobots on Earth might have been sleeping, but in the 80s cartoon, Shockwave had been waiting loyally for Megatron's return for 4 million years.

I liked Shockwaves loyalty.

Was Shockwave gay for Megatron?

They both transformed into hand guns, that's a metaphor, right?

Would Soundwave have worked under Starscream if any one of his 2001 coup de etats' had succeeded?

Although if I was going to pair Soundwave off with someone else, I would have picked Blaster... Why did they both have little people living inside them?

Am I being racist or sexist by insinuating that only Robots who transform into the same earth type vehicle/object should be snuggling and breeding together? That they should keep to their own kind, and does that mean that the Decepticon planes, and the Autobot cars (seperately but) routinely have orgies?

I say this with absolute respect, Transformers are so gay.

Well in the 3 movies, animated tv shows and comics, the Decepticons did not hurt any puppies or dogs. They killed tons of humans and autobots but no puppies.
