Another Firefly reference in Castle :)

Guy Gardener

Shocking I discovered I missed episode 9 a couple weeks back.

Castle is chasing some baddie though a Chinese laundry and they try to ask the laundry workers if they have seen the badie, but alas they don't speak no English, it was then that castle begins asking them the same questions in perfect Mandarin.

Beckett "Wow. Impressive, a semester abroad?"

Castle "No. TV show I used to Love."

I feel like I need to start watching Castle just for these random references. I saw the clip of him in Space Cowboy garb from the Halloween one and thought it was great.

I like Castle. It's not mind-blowing TV or anything, but it is a nice take on the murder mystery/crime of the week deal that everyone and their brother has been doing for some time now. Difference with Castle is it's doing the show with a wink to the audience, some great humor, Nathan Fillion who is all kinds of awesome in the show and a family you actually care about.

It's not Firefly, but it's nice all the same.

And one of the little people in the cast walks up to Nathan Fillion... "Nate... After this is all gone and cancelled, are you going to remember us and make "castle jokes" in your next show?"

It was weird, I hardly ever follow links to "stuff" anywhere, but there was a picture of a beautiful women I didn't recognize (it was Summer Glau in make up. MAKE UP!) under a label "the Twenty best actresses in Hollywood" and remarkably 4 of those twenty were the entire female cast of Firefly.

That's pretty cool, and so were the women from Firefly.

An yes, Nathan Fillion IS all kinds of awesome. There's a guy who needs to guest on Big Bang Theory!

I'm just shocked beyond belief that Castle has lasted more than a seaon. The man has never been on more than one season of ANY show. I mean gee, do you think he actually unpacked stuff in his trailer? Not just lives out of bags and boxes he can easily pack up and tote to the next soon to be failed show? LOL

I kinda felt sorry for the guy, he never could catch a break, and he's really a great comedic/dramatic actor. Hell, why isn't he in more movies and such? Far more enjoyable to watch than say Ryan Reynolds or one of the Wilson boys or Seth Rogan. I could seriously imagine Nate in Green Hornet and doing a far funnier job.

Not only that, Castle just got an early renewal for season 4. (woo-hoo).

Again, it's not the most amazing show on air right now (as far as I know, that'd be Fringe right now) but it's just nice for once to like a show that is fairly successful.

That's exactly how I feel about Castle. All in all, a very enjoyable show.
