Abominable is a new animated movie from Dreamworks Animation, the studio behind the Shreck, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon franchises. It stars Agent's of S.H.I.E.L.D's Chloe Bennet, Fresh off the Boat's Albert Tsai, Coop and Cami's Tenzing Norgay Trainor, with Eddie Izzard, Sarah Paulson, and The Joy Luck Club's Tsai Chin in supporting roles.
It follow Yi (Bennet), a Shanghai teenager, who teams up with her neighbors Jin (Trainor) and Peng (Tsai), on a journey to return a Yeti to his Mt. Everest home. Along the way they are chased by wealthy Mr. Burnish (Izzard) and his zoologist Dr. Zara (Paulson) who are trying to recapture the Yeti, after he escapes from them.
I saw it this morning, and I really enjoyed. I thought it was pretty fun, with a good story, a nice message, and some good performances from the cast. It's also got some pretty impressive sequences that really should be seen on the big screen.
