‘This Ain’t Star Trek XXX’ film

I wasn't sure where to start a thread about the new porn film of a hustler spoof of the cult classic Star Trek.
I was going to put it under Fan Productions since they have created a new Enterprise bridge & transporter.

I thought I saw somene had posted a video of the Kirk character acting somewhere already on trekbbs but I don't remember seeing anything about the clip being titled: ‘This Ain’t Star Trek XXX’ but it looks like it must be this actor.

The film will be released in cinemas on May 7 in New Zealand.

I wanted to make it as faithful to the original as I could.

I would like to discuss the Trek aspects of this and not the porn or nudity aspects.

So....sets, wardrobe, makeup, lighting, camera angles, script, production values?

I think the phaser Kirk has in one photo must be a new toy from the TrekXI film. The costumes are pretty good.
Spock looks great (ears & haircut). The TOS bridge looks fairly accurate.
I wonder if it holds up in HD video...

‘This Ain’t Star Trek XXX’ promotional on TMZ

TMZ has a 1:35 length video. from March 31.
It shows the sets, some bethind the scenes footage, some joking around, and the Kirk actor actually saying "Khan" in it as if he were acting a scene.

The camera on the jib is a Panasonic HD camera (probably HVX-200) so this will probably see a Blu-ray HD release from Hustler. (LFP Video Group released Blu-ray porn since 2007.)

I do get a kick out of some of the photos which are done up in TOS lighting or in poses Trek geeks would know as 40 year old publicity photos.

That actor playing Kirk actually looks pretty good. He even walks right and everything, as far as I can tell. And the set doesn't look too bad. I think I can honestly say I'll be checking this out.

I know this pretty much defeats the purpose of pornography, but based on those pictures, I think if I ever watched this, the way I'd want to do it is skipping the sex parts. I bet the novelty of seeing the production design and those classic characters, make-up, and costumes being re-created would probably be more fun to watch anyway, even if the level of quality in terms of writing/acting is likely to be bottom of the barrel. Also, I agree that GB's movie titles are fantastic.

I totally agree.
As a Star Trek fan I'd want to watch the acting scenes a few times to enjoy the sets, costumes, dialogue. It is a larger budget probably than has been spent before by fan productions?
Perhaps if enough people write in and suggest this to Hustler Video they will make it a special feature.
It is really minimal to make a timeline pointers (sort of a video branching feature) to reorder the timeline to skip the other scenes.
Or call the special feature a PG rating.
