Re: Aussie fans... walk the red carpet at the Premiere in Sydney!
Well if this isn't a reason to pull the old TrekBBS account out then I don't know what will be. I got myself a ticket so I am completely stoked!

I logged into the Sydney Opera House site at 8:55am. No problems but tickets not available until 9am.

I tried phone at 9.01am - engaged.
Took a few minutes to log into website, all sold by 9.06am. No luck here.
No info on limits - who knows, people might have been buying in bulk to scalp on eBay.

I heard you could still get some an hour later. The seat next to me was still available then (a friend was checking it out).

Judging by the content of your post and the signature you currently have, you're in desperate need of attention. Perhaps you should have one of those counselors hang back to give you some special treatment.

Could be. Wouldn't suprise me. Having said that, their site was having probs all day and apparently now Sydney's blacked out so their site is down (must be a local host).

So we should start seeing complete spoiler reviews online by April 9...

Okay, you're tied at one apiece, now knock it off. It's not a good sign when Americans feel they have to go fishing in Australian waters. Or don't seem to care.

He started it! What is it about this board that brings out the seven-year old in me?

Re: Aussie fans... walk the red carpet at the Premiere in Sydney!
I'm hoping you aussies have seen this article? It seems there will be a drawing for people to attend the (second?) world premiere on 9 April, rather than 7 April.
|
The premiere begins its journey in Sydney on 7 April, with its second stop at SKYCITY Auckland on 9 April, before it continues around the world finally reaching the US. New Zealand movie fans can beat the crowds when the film opens to the general public on 7 May by booking early at www.skycitycinemas.co.nz to get in the draw to win tickets to the premiere on 9 April. Fans along the red carpet are also in with a chance to win last minute seats at the premiere.

Re: Aussie fans... walk the red carpet at the Premiere in Sydney!
Ooh, and I'm actually on holidays on 9 April. Is it really worth getting a passport and flight overseas to see a movie a few weeks before (almost) everyone else though?
