Stupid question here. But just what exactly is the class of that starship. The USS Allegiance has got to be one of the best fan-designed ship's I've seen. But, again, I wonder what class she is. I would love to get a three-view drawing of here. I'd buy that for a dollar!!!
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, here's the clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzvwmFmfI0o I've heard Los Angeles Class. But I've also heard a couple of other names. So I want to settle this here and now.
Have to admit that the CGI was well done in that. Looked like movie quality. The design is meh, not much more than a Galaxy class that someone has taken a scale/stretch tool to on different portions. If you want to see one of the best fan designed ships then checkout this thread: http://trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=31672 Vektor is King.
It's a nice design, but in some ways it looks too obviously like a mashup of the Galaxy and Sovereign classes.
Interesting video clip that Rivas Jakarta linked us to...but even more interesting is the Team Pelaws Spacebattle (shows up as Star Trek VS Babylon 5 space battle, about 10 1/2 minutes long). Does anyone know who came up with this one, and if there are more clips?
As well as what the three songs that play during the Team Pelaws spacebattle are, and who performs them...
It is an original design by Dak Phoenix and it is the lead ship of the Allegiance-class. 3D artwork of the design can be found at http://www.phoenixium.com/. The creators of the fan film series Star Trek: Odyssey have acknowledged that the design of the U.S.S. Odyssey is based on the Allegiance with some changes and that the ship is a member of the Allegiance-class.
