Don't worry. The specified medium is crayon. We need something outside everyone's comfort zone. :)

Actually. a variety of styles will keep the project fun, fresh, and entertaining. As for heavy hitters being involved ... I promise not to get too fancy on the rest of you ... ;)

    :D lol :D

We want to encourage as many people to take part, even those who don't normally enter our monthly contests. Stick figures would be ok. I plan to do my panels fast, loose, and freehand (maybe in crayon!).

Can people post screencaps/stills/Photoshoppery with story-appropriate word balloons and captions?

Do you mean as entries for the comic? Well, why not?

Now the thread has been opened, I think we should post comments into here to not interrupt the flow of reading.

Well, I'm looking forward to the second image now...

Okay, the first one is up here.

    Hm, maybe that's a good idea. I don't know ...

    Yeah, me too! :)

So, just to make sure I understand, ThomastheCat has 7 days from today (that is, next Wednesday) to post his entry? If he were to post his this evening, then Ptrope would then have 7 days counting from today as well? Or, if Thomas posted Saturday, then Ptrope would be expected by the following Saturday to post?

Now, the page itself. Ah, suspected doppleganger! Or, maybe McCoy is being metaphorical. It's up to Thomas' and the rest following to decide. Interesting...

BTW, I really like your McCoy. De' Kelley had souch expressive eyebrows. I swear he could arch those things just about as high as Nimoy required with makeup.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Some valid points. Hm, I don't know. I guess if ThomastheCat really would post something in less then seven days, then yeah, the next one could immediately start on his panel. We'll see how it works out. We need to remember that this is supposed to be fun. ;)

Thanks for the kind words, Bill. I agree, Kelley had a great face with very expressive eyebrows.

And yes, I suspect a Doppelgänger myself.

Tough act to follow! Love the pencil style and I am always happy to play around in the 23rd century.

The way my schedule is I might not have something up until Tuesday or Wednesday, but I will be giving this a lot of thought between now and then...

    @friedebarth: you're not a mod.

Wonderful start, NCC-1701. This will be a fun one to watch!

Wow! You guys really know how to combine speed and quality! :techman: It may just be a bit intimidating as it puts the mark rather high for those that follow. I hope not.
And, yes, I agree that these two threads should be kept separate and the comments moved from the other to this one. Its nice to have the other thread full of uninterupted eye-candy.

I'm in, I tend to forget to check threads though, so can whoever has the spot before me let me know when you put up your page?
