Oh, I doubt it. I'm sure it happens sometimes, but most people aren't going to reject the Spock they fell in love with at age 10 or 11 for a newer Spock, no matter how hot the newer Spock is. I mean, it just doesn't work that way.
I'm 51, GhostFace - you wouldn't want me to be untrue to my first love, would you?
On the other hand, I never did fall for Kirk or McCoy, so I am free to fall for the new ones as much as I want.

Anybody got the link to the video where Pine sneezes in the middle of Quinto talking, and Zach acts like he's all annoyed?

OMG I love Nimoy's voice, for sure, but there is something about Quinto that is waaaay sexier for me. Wish i could tell you what it is. Something about the timbre. It is still quite deep but has a lilting quality to it, while Nimoy is more the deep & authoritative type. Both good. Maybe I like the lilting b/c I'm a musician...?

I'm a linguist and I totally agree with you!

It's interesting how different Zack looks when he is wearing the Vulcan eyebrows, it really changes his face a lot, I didn't really recognize him as from Heroes until after I was shown pictures of him with and without the make-up.

It's not bad that I feel!

And you're right, diftorhehsmusma. ZQ's acting impressed me just as much as his physical attributes. I like paying attention to his expressions in certain scenes. He says a lot just with his eyes.
|
ZQ is certainly an excellent actor: there was one interview with JJ in which he said he'd missed some of what ZQ was doing, 'til he saw the rushes, because it was so subtle.

I'd be delighted but I doubt we'll get enough material (? 3 movies, about 6 1/2 hours at max)

Agreed, though I think it's as much the absence of his own eyebrows as the presence of Spock's.
In the casting special on the Bluray (yes, I'm in Aus) they showed ZQ plucking his eyebrows in the makeup chair one morning - it must taken a fair bit of maitenance!

Surely they waxed them and he was just plucking a few strays.
Now he knows how us girls feel.

I'm thinking I heard or read him to say he shaved them off.
He asked Nimoy if they grew back, and Leonard told him that after a while they didn't come back in so well.

Re: *Spock/Zachary Quinto Appreciation Zone*
Hey, has anybody posted a link to the hat blogspot? The blog devoted entirely to Zach's hats.
According to this blog, he dressed up as Bert for Halloween 2008. There's even a picture.

I never had quite got up the courage to ask why he wears that hat. I mean, I can understand wearing a hat constantly to cover thinning hair. But that is definitely not Zach's problem. His hair is truly a crowning glory. I don't understand.

^ He looks so adorable in them, i don't mind that he covers up that incredible mane. As long as we get to see it from time to time!

I am thinking of changing my avatar already, and since I am currently a commander why not inverted Zachary Quinto/Spock!
Here is a comparison between the two:
...Think I should do it?

I think he is too good looking to invert (trying to keep my mind out of the gutter here)..
