Or is it the same number of decks and the humans now averaging eighteen feet (five and a half meters) in height?

It will definitely be bigger if you go to an IMAX screening.

Otherwise, it'll about the same size.

Well... according to the guys at ILM, the JJ-Prise is now 3000 feet long...

If the New E is over 3000 feet that would put it at over 900 meters. Bigger than any other Enterprise

That explains being able to fit an entire brewery into the engineering hull.

Check out the shuttle bay shots in "Journey to Babel". It is huge. I think that 3000 foot number is one of those things that gets thrown out there, and isn't really accurate. From the pictures we've seen and the scale indicators gleaned from said pictures, it doesn't look that much bigger to me than the Constitution-Class refit. At least not by five or six-hundred meters.

But hey, I could be wrong. But I really doubt its 900 meters long. That would make it the size of a Battlestar! :techman:

I think the "3000ft" line is a screw up from the writer. Notice how it isn't a quote from ILM, could be something they pulled out of their..uh..hanger bay, for the article. If the ship really is that big, then why are the windows and bridge dome nearly if not exactly the same dimensions relative to the rest of the ship as on the original ship?

Look at the under construction shot, compare the size of a person standing on the scaffolding to the overall ship. It DOES look 900 metres, and always has done since trailer 2.

900 meters is almost ridiculously huge. Maybe the Enterprise will now have 99 decks for real!

More importantly in the nerd world Kirk stands a better chance of winning the Star Trek vs. Star Wars theoretical space battle!

Maybe it could be 900. Remember a lot of that length is warp engines. For reference 900 meters is almost 3 USS Enterprise aircraft carriers long or two Empire State Buildings.

That's pretty freaking huge. Just saying.

If you look at that UFP billboard center left it would have to be 300 feet at the 3000 foot length for the eneteprise a normal size billboard spans about 60 feet which would put in a more normal size around 1,200 to 1,500 feet in length.

You know what, I just checked out the trailer for DAC, and it has several new shots of the Enterprise, and it does look a little bigger, but not 3000 feet. If anything, its probably somewhere between 400-700 meters at most.

The bridge set would have to be much larger as well given the outside is the same size as the TOS bridge.

The writer was wrong, me thinks.

The Virtual Reality Enterprise Dohicky webcam thingy states the following:

Length 2500 feet, Saucer Diameter 1100 feet

Also, The designer was one W. Matt Jeffries ;)

Not sure if thats officially official, but its SOME form of Officialish dimensions.
