There you go! That's what I'm talking about!!! :techman:

The flames look kewl. Let's let Cogley run 'em through the Canon-Check ("Captain! The engines are on fire!" ought to do it....but he's the expert on TOS canon. I'm the DS9 Babe....)...but we are making progress here, I think!

Why, thank you. *wishes we had a blushing emoticon*

I saved the .psd file of it, which I could host if anybody wants; that way, we could all work off a master file without further .jpg degridation. You know. Like the pros. ;)

Edit: What the hell. Here it is. :D

I've never done an animated gif, but I'm game if somebody could point me in the direction of some tutorials.. Let's get those revisionist Paramount bastards!

Flames are definately canon. Deflector dishes protruding through the face of a lead cast member are borderline I would think.

I'm not sure about the Pez dispenser. I think I saw McCoy use one in "A Private Little War", but my TOS Season 2 knowledge is a little shaky.

Well, it turns out there was a PEZ dispenser gun. It's entirely possible the landing parties were outfitted with PEZ dispensing phasers and tricorders, too.

Just something to keep in mind.

Well, on away missions, it never hurts to bring snacks. That's what *I* always say!

Not quite the same thing as a marshmelon dispenser, adjusted for scale, I guess?

OK, that is the most awesomest (is that a word? It is now!) spaceship ever. Until the next kewl addition, of course. Then, it will be even awesomer.

    :D

I wonder if this is exactly what AlboofBorg had in mind when he started this thread.

We can get flames in pretty easily.

Star Trek XI --> writers Orci and Kurtzman --> Transformers --> Optimus Prime --> flames that were never there on the original Optimus Prime.

    How about some dirt?

We saw an unidentified shuttle recently in spy photos, and it was dirty and dusty. Most of us assumed (for no good reason) that this meant that everything in Star Trek XI would have that dirty, gritty, BSG look.

So can we dirty the ship up a little?

I'm not talking about battle damage. I'm talking about dirt. Maybe some trash or garbage for good measure?

And is there any way we can make the saucer section look more like a sombrero? Or maybe put a sombrero on top of the saucer section?

Someone should put a stargate where the deflector is - that'll show em!

    ;)

Where he is? Funnily enough he was already working on an animation of the new Sombreroprise. Here it is:

Oh my God, this is fucking GOLD! Is there any way that we can have "Lowrider" playing in the background?

This has to be one of my all time favorite Trek BBS moments right here.

    Genius.

    This is wonderful.

The Internets have finally offered us proof: an unlimited number of monkeys pounding away on an infinite number of typewriters, given sufficient time, can produce "Hamlet."

But what they really want to do is direct.

I thought the same thing. :guffaw:
This is awesome, great work NCC-1701. :techman:

I wish I could make animated gifs like that. I always have problems with the file size being too large. I turned it into an av that I'd like to wear if you don't mind.

    Good freaking Lord. :guffaw:

I think my favorite part is when the PEZ stops for a just a moment so the nacelles can move down. Why didn't Rick Sternbach think of this for the Voyager?

NCC-1701, any inside tips on how you did this?

Oh, forget that; any chance we can make this the official image of the Trek XI forum?
