I assumed it was because Michael interacted with the slave Mirror Saru back in season one, but I confess I don't recall the exact details.

That likely fueled her assumption, but I still find it a stretch.

But it is, as you say...just an assumption.

It would be an assumption, but they state it as if it is 100% verified.

I just pulled up the scene to check if Saru is mentioned on the plaque. He is not. I did just notice that a plaque that documents the refugees struggles in escaping from the empire, is titled "Long Live the Empire." Sigh.

The Guardian of Forever literally told Burnham and Georgiou that Saru would lead the rebellion and go on to save others because Georgiou saved his life. It's only natural for Burnham to make that assumption based on the information she was given. Also given the fact that Saru, a kelpien, is a main character, of course it will be him.

This season has a trend of using inconsequential lines of dialogue to foreshadow plot points. It's possible Saru is going to find out that he led a rebellion in the mirror universe and it's going to tie in with the rest of his story arc this season

OK, that I had forgotten. In that case I would acquiesce on that point.

Sorry for rambling again but while I know that assumption is Cho was one of the conspirators, how would existence of names in Federation database prove anything? Wouldn´t the most logical assumption be that they were their Prime Universe counterpants?

Also, I kinda liked new lore on Breen (although the literature´s explination of them being actually several species was also neat), but... I really expected Primarch to shout out "This is the way!" at some point.

I liked it. Some nice surprises.

Lak being Breen was a very good surprise. I am glad DS9 never showed Breen faces to make this possible.

Despite the title of the episode I didn't expect ISS Enterprise. While I wasn't craving anything related to mirror universe it was a let down not seeing any mirror universe characters.

How did Saru lead the rebellion? I mean for starters we saw a rebellion starting as far back as Enterprise. Plus you not doing much rebellion if you skip over to the Prime universe with some refuges because the fight is happening in Mirror Universe. Plus it must have not been going so well if it took Spock to actually be the one who would rise up and lead the real rebellion.

I love that Discovery is around so long now that it has developed it own gatekeepers.

I just assumed the refugees modified an existing plaque they found on the ship.

The ISS Discovery’s plaque in season 1 also said ‘long live the empire’ at the top left. It’s not the title of their message.

What "gatekeeping" are you referring to, specifically?

However, the Guardian also said that nothing Georgiou did would actually change history.
Which has to be true, because Mirror Stamets dies in that two part episode, but he's alive years later in the Season 1 Discovery episodes.

I thought: we dodged one here. The MU episodes in season 3 are probably my least favorite of the whole series.
