Well, sorry, you can’t, due to this very problem*. There is no physical media release for the Willow streaming series, nor is there any service where you can legally stream it anymore.

    * The real problem of companies removing all access to their content, not the “problem” of TV series being too “woke”.

It will eventually land on Youtube. Can't speak of how well it will look but since it wasn't made in the 80's or something it will look better than some older shows you can find on the site.

This kind of thing is exactly why I'm sticking with physical media, for as long as I can. When you buy a copy of something, its yours unless someone steals it. But with streaming services, the companies can decide to erase anything they want, at any time, even though you're still paying for it.

What they are going to do though is stop making DVD and BLu Ray people and try and force them into streaming.

Only just seen this and what a disappointing statement to suggest a show can't have a good story if it has black or gay characters. Someone on a comedy forum had the same attitude about Lolly Adefope on Ghosts and insisted she was only cast to tick boxes and have a 'token' black performer in the troupe instead of the blatantly obvious reason that she was cast because she was suited to the role, is a very talented and funny actress and probably blew them away at the audition.

I doubt Danny John-Jules and Craig Charles would agree with such narrow minded and insulting views on why black actors land parts on television.

Exactly. Hollywood is eager to create a world where nothing actually exists, everything is just transmitted ones and zeros, and they sit back and rake in the $$ without having to provide anything but ephemera in return.

Malacia, if the story is good, the story is good. Whether the character is gay, or black or orange (cat joke). You can explore these ideas, but you also need to explore other story ideas
You mentioned Ghosts (American version). I like all the characters. Some of the stories are about the gay couple, but not all. They have a variety of characters to choose from. ( I only recently became aware there was a British version)

Hard to imagine Ghosts without Kitty. Lolly steals every scene she's in. In fact I remember an interview with Charlotte Ritchie where they asked one of those "So who's the funniest member of the cast" questions and she basically answered that it was an impossible question to answer and they were all brilliant...pause..."but obviously it's Lolly"

There are already ways to rip from streaming sources. And some content only exists a certain way over streaming. There might be a blu ray release, but the content streamed in 4K Dolby Vision/Atmos. Or the HD version is only available streaming like Moonlighting on HULU. It was only ever released on DVD. And only one person ever uploaded an AI upscale to YouTube, not a true HD version.

Also, streaming providers don’t keep all content up forever. And DVDs go out of print.

I had to import X-Files from Germany to get the Blu Rays. I’m probably going to import the Librarians next since it’s only HD streaming. There is no US Blu Ray release.

I try to buy content when I can. I don’t want to be stuck always leasing content.

She’s hilarious as Ruth Duggan, the roving reporter on This Time With Alan Partridge. She hates Alan and loves to make him squirm at every opportunity and the best one is when she’s reporting from abroad and pretending there’s a long delay in the audio transmissions with Alan to make it awkward and make him look inept. The timing is perfectly executed and still makes me laugh just thinking about the scene. In another clip she contradicts everything Alan says to make it look like he hasn’t done his research

I loved the librarians. John Larroquette is so good. It was a fun show that anyone could watch.

I grew up watching moonlighting. I wish I could see it again.
    Remington Steele was another favorite

Moonlighting was such an easy show to relax to. The same with Thirtysomething and Beauty And The Beast. I’ve never got around to watching Northern Exposure so that’s on my box set list to buy before the prices start going up due to rarity.

I hate to double-post (not really).
Someone should collect a bunch of dvd sets and set up their own internet provider like Netflix.

A streaming service would have to get the licence from the parties holding the copyright in order to offer them on their plattform, and as such the copyright holder has a say in which version is being presented. To just take a bunch of DVDs and put their content on the internet, it would be illegal, and these kind of sites already exist.
